I flew VNAV arrivals all the time with AP coupling and no auto throttles on citations.
I bet all of us "stuck in late 1990's equipment" will have longer careers at American since you have to be in your 40s or 50s to even get a 175. I'm glad to be on the 145 with all the level headed pilots. I bet you wear the hat.
