Off of the original topic but on the subject of red eyes...
I've seen a lot of 2 leg red eyes at CLT recently. I.e. Fly to PHX sit 24 hours. Fly a leg to SAN/SLC etc. sit an hour THEN fly a red eye. Serious ball buster, I'm seeing more of them though. Seems completely unacceptable to me.
We complained about the low pay on the slash trips. This is their solution. Yet another item that needs to get fixed in the next contract.
