I am frustrated as everyone else on how long this taking and want it done yesterday. But I am not going to accept a crap CBA just for the sake of signing a CBA. The NC could have sent us a crap one a year ago if they wanted to.
However, explain to me how the company is dragging this out? Did you expect them to go "OMG they have ALPA, where do we sign on the new contract"? The company has a responsibility to its shareholders to negotiate responsibly just as ALPA has the same responsibility to the pilot group.
The company has agreed to extra days.
The company has shown up prepared.
The company has continued to negotiate in good faith.
The have not given LBFO's yet.
The NC and the company continue find middle ground on issues.
IF they were truly try to make this take as long as possible they wouldn't be doing the above and the would have issued the LBFO's and walked out of the room.
