Days 2-7 fly. A lot. Sometimes you get lucky and it's 2-3 long legs. Other days it's 8 short hops up in the NE. Sometimes you get hotel or airport standby. I've had shows as early as 4AM and days as late as 2AM.
Day 8- usually an airline home in the morning. Occasionally it's a leg or two and then an airline home.
PSM/MCO/PDK people end up picking up airplanes at their base and flying on days 1 and 8 more than some of the remote pilots.
Thanks DSM. So since I live in the Atlanta area, then it seems from what you said, more often than not I wouldn't have to commute but just pick up the plane at PDK. Assuming it would be no problem basing at PDK.
