The Good:
Reserve rules (No airport standby, short call and long call options)
No junior manning
One of the highest base hourly rates
Fleet growth this year (12 United 175s and some DL 170s)
Multiple base choices (more than half are outstations though)
The Bad:
Bankruptcy (We will be out of it soon)
Outstation basing
Upgrade times are still over 3 years (should be decreasing)
Don't let the negative perception that RAH used to get influence your decision. I had many people tell me how terrible Republic used to be (which I don't doubt) but it is a great place to be now. The new contract fixed most of the issues (not all) the company saw in the past. All of the crew members I have flown with have been great (every company has a few that aren't) and we are drawing quite a bit of new hires each month. I declined offers from 2 other regionals to come to Republic (mainly so I didn't have to commute) and I love it here. I do not regret my decision at all. Almost all of the negative things people told me in the past are no longer true. I used to fly part 135 and my QOL at RAH is exponentially better. In the end most of the larger regionals all have similar pay. My advice is to pick a company where you don't have to commute and wouldn't mind spending time at if the majors don't call or we have another economic downturn.
