You realize the average American loses 1/3 of his salary just in state and federal income taxes (at least the 53% who do pay income taxes as mitt romney conveniently reminded us in 2012). This Doesn't even include sales tax, the 100+ other taxes Americans pay (ie capital gains), or inflation. So yes. It's just a dollar is a silly argument.
Yes. I'm well aware because I was the one to look up exactly where my money goes. And as I've said in previous posts, my wife and I are okay with the $2 of our $40,000 we pay going to EAS...And I would support an educated approach to evaluating the effects of eliminating the subsidy..Not slash and burn approach to budgets. I don't want another sequestration. That was handled terribly. Again, I'm more concerned that 300x times that money is being spent on nuclear weapons to sit in dirty holes in the ground becoming more and more irrelevant. Or why 2000x times that goes to food stamps.
