Of equal significance, the Company committed to a more aggressive schedule for the first quarter of this year. In addition to the five bargaining days presently scheduled in February from February 7th-10th & February 28th, the scheduling subgroup will meet for three days from February 13th-15th. In addition, there will now be two more bargaining sessions in March for a total ten bargaining days in that month. March 01st-3rd, March 14th–17th, and March 29th–31st. We will do our best to maximize progress in the newly available negotiating time and hope to close a number of open issues.
It says company committed to more sessions. Doesn't say the company requested more sessions. On BP the NC chair was asked and specifically said the union requested more sessions and the company agreed.

Now maybe they subsequently asked for small group breakouts, which is not a bad thing.

We all need to carefully guard any optimism. Things almost never go easily in this process. History does not point to anything other than false hope. Maybe this time is different, but don't get your hopes up until it is announced or you are setting yourself up for disappointment.
