Regardless of what you think you know, this is never the case.
There are individuals on this site, and responding to this thread, who have training or a background in mishap investigation, and have been involved in them. We know, vs. what you think you heard on a popular television news show.
The NTSB does not leave "accident investigations" to manufacturers or to companies.
The NTSB does invite input, and solicits such, from all sources, particularly those with expertise in the airframe, powerplant, operation, etc.
