[QUOTE=littlefuz;2333169]Hello all. I am one of the lucky ones who was able to secure a spot to the upcoming job fair. I would really like to hear from those who attended the previous job fair hosted by Southwest. How much weight does this event carry in being called for an interview? How many who attended and met the minimums received an invite to interview? Would you recommend a interview prep for this event? I am at 5900 hours tt and about 2650 turbine PIC all corporate. I do not have a degree. I am trying to not let my hopes get too high, but I am really excited about this opportunity. I would love to work for Southwest.
I attended the last recruitment event and am lucky enough to attend this one as well but would not recommend an interview prep for this kind of event. All it is is you break into groups and they take you on a tour of the TOPS building, have a Q&A session with Rocky then a one on one session with a recruiter for about 10 min or maybe less and they heard everyone in and out like cattle. No real time to stand out and impress anyone from the time that is given. Recruiter will read through your pilot credentials app and southwest.com/careers app to make sure you do not have any critical errors. I do know that people were given interview invites after the fair but not sure how many. I did meet the minimums and have not heard a peep. Hope this somewhat gives you an idea.
