A couple weeks after that I was contacted to schedule an interview and then it was a few days and I had a class date. It was about 3 months application to class for me and I've been here almost 3 years; it's a pretty typical timeline.

As DSM said, many times day 1 & 8 for remote based guys are travel days. There are times where you'll pick up a plane from PDK, grab a rental car from Epps and drive to the plane or you'll park at Epps and then Taxi/Uber/Lyft/MARTA to ATL to get on an airline flight.
Just to emphasize, I am not PDK based but I have spent 6 out of 7 nights of a cycle before in PDK. Your schedule is based on company need and (hopefully) efficiency.
