This thread reminds me of why APC is such a good resource and yet so dumb.
SWA is fine. So are the other airlines (mostly). Everyone in this business tends to look down the end of their nose at someone in what they deem is a lesser gig. I jumpseat around a lot on other carriers and everyone has their gripers as well as their cheerleaders. I have met some very happy career regional folks along the way. Good for them. What works good for you and yours is where it is at. Trying to chase some sort of golden ring in this business has proven a fools errand.
I personally love it here at SWA, but I can see why some hate the thought of even working here. I still haven't given up my black tie and will fight for the next contract just like I fought for this one.
The best thing we can all do in this profession is realize that we are all in this mess together and try to take care of one another.
