To take a line out of "MissedApproaches" playbook, it's PATHETIC.
Negotiations will drag on at a snails pace. If hiring really does dry up before a new contract is agreed to, watch for signing bonuses. It's what many regional airlines have been doing for the last several years to subvert section 6. The best part for management is they can be removed just as quickly as they're implemented. The union is powerless to stop them as well.
