For CAL and DAL, airline apps does the conversion for you so just put in your raw time and number of sorties. SWA says to use a .3 factor. UAL says to not a conversion. Read what I wrote earlier about "other" time. I factored in half of my other time into my PIC. I explained my method in both my DAL and UAL interview and zero questions were asked and there was no contention from the Captain or HR in either interview.

Referencing an earlier post about reserves not getting hired. I got the conditional hire from Delta and I'm a reservist. Unfortunately, I"m in the DAL loony bin right now (psych tests results under review and go to a review board in a couple of weeks....hence the loony bin comment).

There was some scuttlebutt about reservists interviewing at CAL about a year ago, but I'm not sure how that panned out. I do have a personal friend who went through a rough period of time with CAL when he took mil leave but has been recently resolved [in his favor]. I also heard about SWA and Charleston reservists. I don't want to get into details about that because that is not in my "back yard" and if I'm sure a Charleston reservist will explain it on here if he/she feels it is worthwhile.

At my DAL interview, one of the military guys who interviewed, but not get hired, openly talked about mil leave during his interview. If that was a major factor in him not getting hired, I don't know.

I was not asked about the reserves in today's interview. They asked for a resume and it was clear on my resume that I am an active reservist. I don't think it was an issue with UAL.
