Several years ago, I remember this same topic was floating around, (no pun intended) and I commented then, so I'll share my memories of making coffee with airplane water again. I used to make coffee with airplane water when I was fairly new (I'm retired now) until the night the cleaners came on board and removed the containers and I heard a "ewwwwwww!" Guess what they found?..... A frog! He was well cooked and floating there in the top of the container. That was when I got a good look at the inside of the container(s). After that, I carried a thermos and the nice ladies at the cafeteria, before food courts became so prevalent, would take the time to bring the tap water to a boil and fill my thermos.
