On non-YX flights, we are below current employees, retirees and parents, but above extended family, one world employees and zeds. Almost no upgrades, they will upgrade a passenger and then get you on the flight or they will leave you at the airport with a first class seat open.

UA- $50 sign up fees, no segment fees in Econ, highest priority on own metal, relatively high on other UAX metal, medium priority on UAL metal, upgrades possible from what I hear.

DL- $50 sign up fee, no segment fees except for after 6 international travel days. So you get 6 24hr periods to be on aircraft and if you do more than that you start to pay the taxes. DL will upgrade you both domestically and International. It is more likely to get upgraded internationally then domestically due to the loads domestically.
