Yeah, a little way too early! And even after he is hired by a regional, he still shouldn't worry about it.
United literally hires 7000 hr pilots with thousands of hrs of jet time, making your odds zero at 1500/2000 hrs whatever unless you have some VERY influential contacts who may be able to put your name to the top. Don't drive yourself insane, Student01.
