Boeing also invested in Zunum and I tend to think that when it comes to airplanes, Boeing knows what the hell it's talking about.
If electric planes are the future why isnt Boeing making them itself? They dont have a new battery chemistry. The J/kg are just way too darn high to compete with oil. Now alge bred jet fuel is a different story...
