At Atlas, the pilot group can be broken down into four groups.

1. Newhires in their honeymoon faze who have not yet figured out what a bad career choice they have made.

2. Pilots who are actively trying to leave but have not received the phone call to be paroled yet.

3. Pilots who have been hired elsewhere and are waiting for their class to start.

4. Pilots within five years until retirement who know it doesn't make sense to start all over with such little time left in their career.


I fit into group number two, which is by far, the largest group at Atlas. Those considering Atlas can just ignore the vast majority of the pilots on APC who are warning them to stay away from this place and they will join the ranks of the group two pilots soon. I will see you at the breakfast table in the morning and endure your complaining as if you were never warned.
