I am a new hire just finishing up LOE (sim checkride) tomorrow on the 175. Expect to get ORD first. I have heard of nothing else from any other class in the vicinity of ours. It appears they stockpile pilots at ORD (don't know why). I have gained about 110 seniority numbers in 6 weeks since starting at the school house. IOE (line check) is about 3-4 week wait after LOE and we are told it will take about 3-4 weeks. So by the time all is said and done and you are sitting reserve in ORD it is likely to be about 3 months since your class start date. If attrition keeps at this pace and I gain another 110 seniority numbers in the next 6 weeks, I will be about 100 away from the most Jr. guy at LAX. So I think I can conservatively say I will have to sit reserve in ORD 1-2 months before I can hold LAX. SFO looks to be a bit more Jr. than LAX and SEA a bit more senior. But not bad. Obviously that is all assuming attrition remains constant.

Rumors floating around the school house, hiring is slated to slow over the summer and they are moving the DEN 175 sims to the new building which will slow the pace of training there.
