I have ~4000 hours total, ~2000 hours FW turbine, ~1000 hours FW turbine PIC, ~2000 hours rotary-wing, 860 RW PIC, 700 RW IP/SP/IE. Currently holding the "Director of Safety" (military equivalent) position. It took me 25 years of military flying to reach these hours. Prior enlisted and took six years of night school to complete my degree so I could apply to OCS to go to flight school.
I can't compete hour for hour with a 25 year 121 pilot. I hope Southwest values the other things on my resume besides my hours in the seat going from point A to B to C.
