One rumor that stands out to me is that some of these regional outfits are multiplying military guy's flight time by a factor of 2 to get them the required 750 hours. Add all your UPT time, around 200-220 hours, then you're gonna need to fly 550 on your airframe to get hired. If you really want rent a Cessna 150 with a buddy and truck around to build some time.
