I have NEVER - EVER heard of a waiting period for health insurance at a new employer, except for maybe some pre-existing conditions. Are you guys kidding? The rest of the world goes from one job to another an simply swaps coverages. An IT guy at some computer place goes to another computer place and they simply end one insurance and begin another insurance. It's seamless. I can NOT believe these regional companies are offering 'hiring bonuses' and then pulling crazy shenanigans like buying health insurances with waiting periods??? Caveat Emptor.
