“Together, these presentations asserted that the ULCC model, and Spirit specifically, could not support ALPA’s package proposal.”
“The simplest way to characterize the Company’s March 15th proposal is that our medical plan would be inferior to any plan offered to our peers or even our flight attendants.”
“Simply put, rather than industry-standard, Spirit proposed bottom of the industry.” note: this one was bolded!

This is supposed to empower you and anger you not take the wind out of your sails. This isn't republic where labor is the only cost they control and this is also a growing airline in a shrinking pilot market. Our presentation next meet will prove to the mediator that our proposal can not only be supported by spirit but that they can also maintain industry leading profit margins. We already know this. This is not a regional airline living on 1% with the only cost not passed through to the legacy being labor. Whole different ball game. We have leverage. It's not the lost decades anymore. We get it this cycle or get it never!
The company is proposing a cost neutral industry bottom contract disguised as "raises". Bendoritis did this with the flight attendants and it's why he was hired. This should be no surprise.
Now get fired up!!!!
