Possibly more importantly, CRAFT is the standard teaching method for Air Traffic Controllers who are handing out your clearance--at least when I went through the ATC schoolhouse. Another teaching standard for ATC that most pilots don't realize (especially students) is the PTAC given prior to an approach clearance -- P-Position (6 miles from Ashley) T-Turn (turn left/right hdg xxx), A-Altitude (maintain 1,600 until the marker), C-Clearance (Cleared ILS rwy 15 approach). If you happen to be established on final already and don't need a turn then they just "PAC" you!
