Low talkers, mumblers are a threat headset or no headset. I've asked a guy to use the flt interphone on the 757 if I don't seem to be hearing him. Went and had my hearing checked after that trip by an ent, normal hearing levels for my age, and I didn't qualify for hearing loss disability from the VA.
Clear verbal communication is hopefully one of the items they are looking for in the interview process.
