Had an AS FO in my jump today. I'd like to check on two rumors s/him supplied.
1. AS plans on covering housing for new-hires starting with the next class. (July 2017).
2. AS plans to hire 500 in the next year. (Was not clear on whether this covered AS/VX or just AS.)

I have heard the hotels covered for training rumor from many different sources. In addition, + space travel for days off during training.
I also heard that they may resume training classes as early as June now.
I have heard nothing as far as how many new hires, and how many for Virgin versus Alaska.
