It's not all jr 190 FOs many of my FOs have been senior to me.
But I guess only the Airbus captains get to have valid opinions and how great is it that it is just like yours.(yes I know you will tell me they are senior and have lived through the JetBlue lies so they know)
Now it only took 3 votes to get in a union.
Dude when you applied and took a job here.
We were non union, we were paid less vs our peers, our vacation was bad, we had our current pto system, we had no retirements, we had the same bases, we had meltdowns, our company was obsessed about image and nps, our per diem hasn't changed, we were looked at by the real airlines as a second tier airline, a good chunk of our super senior captains couldn't get hired elsewhere, our retirement was bad, work rules changed via email and so on. A big chunk of the stuff that makes you so mad now was reality when YOU accepted a job here. I also accepted the job because as I have said it was a good place to wait (better than the regionals)and I still say that. You and I got lucky and moved up the list quick to have either a nice senior airbus FO sked or a very junior captain. So for me things have worked out but you better believe I voted yes. I know things need to change. I was answering a question about how negative things are. I don't see it as much as you do but that is me. I still think JetBlue has the potential to be a great airline and we very well may have a great contract. If you don't think that, well there is no reason for you to stay. (For the record I also thought trump would win so maybe I am a little crazy)
I have been a 121 guy for over 13 years now and what I know is everything changes so fast. Up today down tomorrow. like bunker asked if management is so against getting a cba why are they not pulling a Spirit or Frontier? There is nothing stopping them. I also agree with him that we will know much more in the coming months but as far as a first contract goes like it or not history shows that we are making progress and the company is negotiating. Unless you were in the camp that thought we would just have an instant contract I would say our progress is a good thing. Now you can argue it's low hanging fruit but did you want them to start with the big things first? That is not how this works and if they wanted to they could drag out the low hanging fruit part. The union has said don't expect many more TAs because these last sections all go together but we are making progress. From a few guys I have talked with who "know" they have become much more optimistic about getting a TA soon.
I don't answer to you about what makes me happy and as far as your cute little millennial hashtags go.
#growthe****up
That's all cute Joe, but we are so far behind and progress could stop at a moment's notice. We don't have a peer contract until we do. So you keep pushing back on negativity all you want. I think it's premature until they actually sign on the dotted line.
Will my tune change 180 degrees when they do, yep.
