Exactly! I am one of those guys. I have been trying to bid out of the right seat of the 757 since Bid 15-01.
When I bid 767 FO on Bid 15-01...my training was scheduled 2+ years into the future. Meanwhile, I watched new hires every month be trained. If I had bid any other WB other than the 767, I would have been receiving Passover Pay but, because I "bid what I wanted to fly", no Passover for you.
So, on bid 16-01, I bid 757 Capt. My training is again scheduled 2+ years into the future (was recently pushed almost a year to the right). Why? This time it is because of limits in training capacity...they have to use 757 simulators to accomplish 767 training because...well you know that story.
I know there are growing pains when you bring on a new aircraft (767). But there is a group of 757 FOs who are bearing the brunt of this. Our training has, and continues to be, delayed to accommodate both new hires and 767 training requirements. They need us in the right seat of the 757...I get that. But at least you could be paying us the Passover Pay we are owed. Not paying Passover Pay, simply because we bid to the right seat of the 767 instead of any other WB, is just wrong.
P.S.
As Albie said, 20% (or more) of our bidpack has disappeared and gone to the 767. Good news for 767 guys...the company needs more of them and they will all be on WB pay...flying 757 lines. Not so great for us stuck on the 757.
