Before last weeks negotiations things were moving, slow yes, but still moving forward. The company has slapped us in the face with a proposal that seems well below what we were expecting. It's time to buckle down and do your job. Fly your line, enjoy your days off. If you know someone who likes to work have a civil conversation with that individual. Explain how it is ultimately postponing a worthwhile cba. And for god sakes wear the damn lanyard.
I agree 100%.
At this point most of the pilots answering calls and picking up open time are either brand new and trying to fly closer to home or are fully aware they are operating contrary to the majority of the pilot group. Calling them out on a public forum is unprofessional and will do nothing to move our contract negotiations forward. Just because a pilot removes himself or herself from the SA list does not mean they are going to stop answering the calls from scheduling.
The few I know that regularly answer the phone do so for their own reasons, they understand they are not seen in a positive light by the rest of the pilot group but they don't really care. It is what it is, they are operating per the CBA (other than one being on the list of SA while on reserve, that should be stopped in FLICA immediately).
