But no, since it involves junior guys, the FDX MEC says "F them".

Hey FDX MEC, you represent ALL the pilots on the seniority list, now ACT LIKE IT AND FIX THIS!!!
You are confusing Union and Company actions.

When Congress first wrote Age 65, there was no consideration of pilots over 60 still on 121 Seniority lists because the vast majority had been forced to retire when the pax airlines furloughed thousands and retired their old aircraft.
Had our Union not lobbied on addressing that issue, we would've been sued for failing to represent the age 60+ folks still on property plumbing, as well as those hoping for a rapid change.

Company controls the bids. Company elected to cancel a bid.
Wish they hadn't.
But there's never been a Union Stamp of approval on any bid.

Never even head of any coordination between management and our Union over the proper staffing of any seat. Never a, well, we think you need to fill more Secondaries management.
