I wear one, I like it. I don't care if copilot wears one or not, or use hot mike. I can hear anyone talking just fine with the headset on.

The hardest thing about anr headset is when you have to take it off to hit the lav. That's when you realize how loud it is.

iPhone sound app rates climb DB at 88-90 at ear level.

Maybe those little microphones sticking out of your ears all the time look better than an ANR headset some of the time.
