easy answer, usually said by someone who's never failed a check ride.
When you see numbers like 25% pass rate, it speaks VOLUMES about the training department, and the company. If they value their pilots, a training failure would be rare; it doesn't hurt them to give extra sim or assure they're ready for their oral. It helps them - they retain pilots and others want to go there because they know they're headed to a healthy environment.
