A more desirable aircraft will by definition have less people bidding off it. Newhires are only offered positions that current pilots have left unfilled in previous vacancies.

All other things being equal (no greater growth in one fleet/domicile), the least desirable seat in the least desired bases will have the most openings (for new hires).
