What Boeing really needs is a 200 seat narrow body that is common with one of it's wide bodies. It would be great if you could fill it with people and fuel and go trans-con with a comfortable alternate. Maybe even make it versatile enough to make an ETOPS version that could do HI and the Atlantic.
