Maybe not, but if the number of pilots walking with their feet stays near the January number of 15, then hiring 30 per month isn't nearly enough and chokes our growth plans.
The math would be interesting to see... Cost of hiring more than 30 every month to cover that increased attrition (more sims, more check-airman) vs. the savings of letting someone on year 3 or 4 walk, to be replaced with a $37 per hour stiff stuck in a training contract.
