What base did you choose? It looks like you'll be in a pretty similar boat to me. IF I fly this cycle coming up Wednesday, it'll still be 6 weeks since my checkride which is pretty crazy. My skills certainly are going to atrophy as another said, and in going to let my IP be fully aware of that when I finally get one.
I know of af least 2 others from my February class who haven't touched a plane yet either. And other who have finished IOE but are still on home standby. Lack of work due to low time I imagine? No green on green.
I don't think it's a green/green situation. It's a no one wants to take on IP duties/responsibilities anymore. No offense, but the risk is no longer worth the reward. It's cliche to say but the grass is greener elsewhere. I wish the new hires goodluck and everyone at PSI for that matter. I do appreciate the company, it's just way too far behind the curve and it's going to catch up with them in the very near future.

A regional because you have 1500 hrs. The company needs CAPTAINS. They are not attracting or retaining them. It is not sustainable. If you are new here or thinking of applying, please have a backup plan. Keep your CFI current, and don't change your life for the opportunity.
