How did the kid who wasn't on the ticket board in the first place? Did he just beep the boarding pass and no one checked? If so that's completely unacceptable.
What the idiot press is desperately trying to do is get the government to outlaw overselling while they then take credit for their expert activist journalism. While its none of their business (at all) to do so, I actually hope they do, because that will result in artificially mandated capacity control that will benefit pricing big time, while making it far, far, far easier to non rev.
