Additionally to what Dave said....IF you convert days off to VDOs at the end of a RSV stretch, and you are still phone available on that RSV stretch, CS could give you an assignment that spilled into the VDO(s). I believe THAT is the intent of your quoted contract language. The key being "required to be phone available"... (on Reserve). If you do not convert VDOs until you are released from RSV OR better yet, only convert the days leading into RSV, you don't have to answer your phone, AND you can accept or reject any assignments cs has to offer. Just like SRM. "no thanks, but call me back if you have something with more MEAT"
