That being said, each passenger now has a case of fraudulent and deceptive business practice when they could have been properly compensated with hotel and meal vouchers. Additionally, other items which bore the full and unrecoverable costs from passengers (missed cruises, non-refundable hotel stays, etc) due to staffing and not weather are open for reimbursement. However, claiming the cancellation was due to weather absolves them of all out of pocket expenses.

The court of public opinion could take this and run to the media to show how the public may have a chance to make individual claims, or class action suit.
