Most airlines, at one point or another, evolve and change. I don't know if they necessarily "care" that they don't do overnights it's just, at the moment, what their business model entails. Again they do mention it heavily, but i don't think they care enough that they would never ever think of going away from day trips.
I get what we do here, but I've always thought how much utilization we could be leaving on the table by not doing them. You could totally take a SFB (any FL based crew) say a flight to say Fargo, then a flight to Vegas or PHX and overnight. Then the next day, Vegas/PHX - Midwest station then back to base. I seriously doubt you would get many people ****ed off about a 1 overnight trip.
It will be exciting to see what destinations (Intl) we might be serving after the transition.
