I doubt it. I have been flying as a FO on the 88 with most Captains coming from the 75/76. It is a very different lifestyle. Fast pace. Busy. Multiple legs. Most of the wide body pilots don't want that 717/M88 life.
I hear it first hand from the guys I fly with and I have yet to fly with someone who came off a wide body.
The guys who just upgraded from international flying complain for at least half of the trip and can't stop comparing the flying to their previous life.
I think we'll see more junior upgrades IMHO.
I agree with your general statement. However, I meant the guys in the last AE who received an award to WB FO and have yet to train or convert. In DTW there were quite a few junior 330Bs awarded...many of which could hold DTW717A. I have a feeling there likely won't be many, if any, displacements off the DTW330B, but if there is, these guys could hold junior DTW717A. They're adding 15 spots to both of these positions so I think it's all a moot point. But I was wrong once...this could be twice.
