They get plenty of time at home vs those holding a line. Plenty of OT to be had for more $$$$ and flying if so desired. Thus why I say CRJ ORD is seriously something to consider if your a young or middle aged fox who lives in ORD. CRJ ORD has more line flying than E145 ORD lines. Also if you would like multiple type ratings on your cert to stand out, does not hurt having multiple type ratings if applying to DA, UA, SW, Alaska, Hawaiian, while also awaiting for the flow, its a pretty good position to be in.
As stated above, if u get displaced 12, 18, or 24 months later you'll have a more favorable seniority depending on your displacement base/aircraft bid preference.
Still not worth it, you'll be on reserve indefinitely. It sucks to go through multiple training events anyways. Just get on the 145. If you have SJS, there's no difference between the CRJ7 and 145, just a bit longer.
