The T2 had a big straight wing with a 93 knot approach speed. Top speed at cruise was about .7 Mach. On a good day down low it might get to 380 knots. It was a basic jet trainer that was extremely forgiving. The TA4J was used for advanced training. The T45 replaced both airframes.
