Those contracts are decades in the making and are a completely different Airline than Spirit or even Frontier or Allegiant. I think if you look at the new Allegiant contract that is whats coming. This is what a pilot costs. If you want to operate an airline, expect to pay the going rate.
Does Spirit pay less than Delta for an A320? Does Spirit get a case of Coke for less than United? How about Spirit getting a tug for less than American.
Anything less than parity is a NO.
