So Mayday Mark is "that guy"?

I made a mistake one time.

When I was supposed to go to a brand new jet, and train very soon, someone offered to swap dates with me with my training delayed for about a year.

I had some family stuff going on but nothing serious, just "must attend" type stuff, so the later date was better for my life situation. It ended up costing me about $50,000, from all the training bumps the guy I traded with got.

In retrospect, I should have told my family that it was a $50,000 choice and taken the money.

Of course, I have no one to blame but myself.

So the lesson is, if you are going to a brand new jet, go as early as you can.
