If you decide to go that way, you might want to retitle the Other subforum to Other Airlines. Add a new subforum entitled General Topics. For thread starters require a selection via a drop down so every thread is categorized into a subforum; as well as all listed uncategoried below (or as you pointed out, the New Posts selection on the menu).
