As a personal observation I find F/A's on most foreign airlines to be a lot more relaxed in general and also when dealing with the passengers. And I am not just talking about the ME3 or Asian carriers. It also extends to the Euro ones like KLM, Lufthansa etc.
Unless it's truly a critical phase of flight no one gets too excited if someone goes to use the lav when the seat-belt sign is on. I mean if someone really needs to go, would you rather they did so in their seat on a 14 hr flight?
Granted we have some real "prizes" for passengers. But I think we are way behind in customer service and the ability to serve customers well. It's becoming just a JOB for many and it shows.
