I mean, why not list early so all the players have as much knowledge as possible of their chances of getting on the flight. Trying to take a little game theory out of the equation.
For exactly that reason I don't bother checking flights or listing way out in advance. It changes so much that it's not worth stressing over until a couple days prior.

As others have said if i have to be there I buy tix. If we're flexible on flights or even destination, I don't hammer out the plan until it's close in. Not trying to hose anyone, just the name of the nonrev game. Even the best laid plan can be undone by an IROP. Why worry about that a month in advance?

It's even more important when you're on your vacation. Checking loads for the return is a sure fire way to stress yourself out Easier said than done not to peek though
