Your last statement is what gives me confidence that we'll never have to worry about the first part. They'll never let a turd get to the MEC. And the MEC will never let a turd get to the general pilot group. While I don't think they'd need to save us from ourselves, I'm comfortable knowing they will/are going to do just that.
