Talk to your P2P reps
If any if you speak with a P2P rep (make sure they're someone who actually listens to the calls) you should get the message that the MEC, "WILL NOT ACCEPT BELOW MARKET RATE." We as a pilot group have made this clear as our goal, and that is what the MEC and NC are working towards.
On a separate note, we are deficient in many areas that need significant improvement, but the Cadillac provisions we do have don't seem to be acknowledged.
Examples:
1: Delta also has a check in policy. They actually have to be in their crew room, 1 hr prior to departure, and use a computer to check-in. We were very far removed from market conditions (in our favor) with just being allowed to show up at the gate. JetCrew is still a much more convenient tool than having to show up and sign into a computer like Delta.
2: Our reserve rules are very strong once you've been assigned a trip. Our reserve assignment process is garbage, but once you're assigned a trip you're treated like a line holder. At Delta, on reserve they can do whatever they want with you. If you're called out for an IROP and then it cancels, you're back on reserve that day for another trip. Here, you're done for the day.
